t Woodlands, we marked Remembrance Day with a meaningful day of learning, reflection and poetry. Across the school, children took time to learn about why we remember, who we remember, and the importance of honouring those who gave their lives in service.
Pupils explored the symbolism of the poppy, shared thoughtful discussions and created powerful pieces of writing and poetry to express their understanding and respect. The calm, reflective atmosphere throughout the day showed the maturity and empathy our children brought to their learning.
It was a poignant and respectful day that helped us remember the past and reflect on the values of peace, gratitude and remembrance.
